Weekly outdoor dance class for GBTQ men and their friends
- 8 euros€8
- Westpark, Amsterdam
Looking for a new way to exercise that’s fun and sociable? Always interested in dance, or want to get back to it? Maybe you just want to get out & meet some awesome new people? Amdam Dancing Queens is a weekly dance class taking place on Wednesdays in Westerpark. Each week will cover a new song, taking you step by step through its choreography, so that next time you hear it in the club you will be able to smash it on the dance floor like a pro. The purpose of this class is not to become a professional performer (although you will learn technique and performance skills), it’s about gaining confidence, improving rhythm and co-ordination, increasing general fitness, strength and flexibility, meeting new people and all while having fun! ABOUT THE TEACHER: Even though he works for a Software company, Julien has always been passionate about learning iconic choreography from pop music videos, and teaching them to large groups of people. When he was living in San Francisco, he used to organize dance flashmobs and performances paying tribute to pop stars including Janet Jackson, Madonna and Lady Gaga. His main motivation for organizing new dance classes in Amsterdam is to share his passion for pop star choreography and create a community of people who like to dance together, regardless of their dance background.
